Chord On Blues, which has been open since 1996, is a 14000 square foot
facility, located on the river in beautiful downtown St. Charles. COB
features two separate bar / restaurants under one roof separated by a
kitchen in the middle. On one side is The Grille. The Grille at Chord
On Blues features a full menu of great food, four tournament quality billiard
tables, darts, tasty specialty martini’s and cocktails, 12 beers
on draft, daily drink specials and a large covered beer garden where you
can sit in the summer breeze rain or shine. The Main room at Chord On
Blues, is where we feature live blues music being performed by the nations
top touring talent. Think of us as a “Dinner Theatre” for
the blues. It should also be mentioned however, that many of our customers
come just for our food, never mind the show. In COB you will find an upscale
room boasting a beautiful bar, a large elevated stage and dinner seating
for up to 150 people. Total capacity is around 250 and sight lines to
the stage are great from where ever you’re seated. Attire is casual,
although dress to the “nines” if you like. You’ll feel
perfectly comfortable. The COB menu is broad and diverse with a focus
on steaks. Great food at a great price. At 9pm the entire facility is
a 21 and over club so proper ID is required.
Ticket Sales
Currently we
do not pre-sell tickets through a “box
office.” So … there are two ways to see a show at COB. You
can join us for dinner and show by placing a reservation
at (630) 513-0074. The best time to arrive for dinner and show is between
7:30 and 8:30 depending
on your dining pace. Our goal is to have you fed and your table clear
by show time when the lights go down and the party starts! Please
do not leave your reservation request on e-mail. If you are
coming for show only simply show up and pay a cover charge at the door.
Depending on the show
you may want to arrive around 8:30 to 9pm. If you choose to join us
for dinner you will still be charged for the show but you keep your
table
all night and you get preferential seating in return for dining with
us. We seat from front to back, based upon the date you placed your
reservation.
We try our best to accommodate special seating requests, when possible,
but cannot guarantee them. You’ll find our prices are reasonable.
We didn’t build the cost of national touring blues bands into
our food and beverage prices. Doors are always at 5:30 and show time
is typically
at 10pm. Show time’s change only on the rare occasion when we
feature an opening act or the rare weekday show. Look at the schedule
page on
the site for details. We feature two full menus that can be found on
the dining page.
Food & Menus
On the home page of our website you will find
a drop down menu that says food. Click on
that and it will take you to our menus. One for the Grille and one
for Chord On Blues. Click on
the
logo’s to get to the menus. In COB we feature a broad menu with
an emphasis on steaks. But, you will also find some interesting and
tasty dishes such as Jambalaya and Parmesan Shrimp Pasta. Our Baby
Back Ribs
are great and one of my personal favorites is the Breaded Pork Chops.
Of course we have poultry dishes and we feature fresh Seafood specials
every weekend. When it comes to food, our goal is to serve you good
food at a good price. We don’t have “cuisine” just
great food. We serve entrée’s to 10pm and sandwiches
and burgers until midnight. Our late night (10pm to midnight) also
happens to be the
same menu that we serve in The Grille. The Grille is the more casual
side of the Chord On Blues complex and is also where are Beer Garden
is located,
which is a great place to eat and drink during the warmer months of
the year. The Grille menu leans more toward “Pub Style” fare
and I have to say that our Burgers are great.

Parties
We have plenty of space and are very well situated to accommodate
most special functions. Over
the past nine years we have hosted virtually every kind of function imaginable,
from wedding receptions to corporate meetings and everything in between.
To this point, we have handled each one on a custom bases since each event
is a little different. However, in an attempt to stream line things a
little, we are near completion of our “Banquet Program” which
will be posted on the food page the moment it’s done. There is plenty
of free parking and we are easy to find. Please call or e-mail us with

the course with a single minded focus on quality, even when popularity
